Who is Duahli Moua?
I am a first-generation Hmong American born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Growing up, I was a very artistic child, drawing and creating whenever I could. However, when I got older I made the decision to become a doctor and worked for it my entire high school life. Even taking a healthcare careers summer program at the Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences.
Besides lots of science and math classes, I took the time to squeeze in art classes, photography, and a graphics design class. I fell in love with graphics design but I decided to play the “safer route” and continue my current road. That was until Covid-19 hit in 2020, and my senior year was cut short by the pandemic. Do I do what I fell in love with or what I learned and worked hard for?
Well, here I am with a design degree and full of passion. I found lots of love for packaging design, branding, video editing, and motion design during my time at university. Of course, as a designer, I love to bring ideas to life and experiment, learning and improving with the industry.
Now you know a bit about who I am as a person and as a designer!
